Beas Kund Trek

Activity: Evening arrival and check-in at a hotel in Manali; briefing for the trek.Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from the plains of Chandigarh to the high-altitude hub of Manali. The route follows the Beas River upstream, passing through the beautiful Kullu Valley.

After a short drive to Solang Valley, you head to the road-head at Dhundi (2,840m). The trek officially starts here, leading you through lush forests of oak and silver birch toward the expansive meadows of Bakarthach (3,300m).

• Terrain: A gentle 4-5 hour hike with views of the Seven Sisters peaks.
• Stay: Overnight camping in alpine tents at Bakarthach.

This is the highlight of your journey. You will trek through glacial moraines and rocky trails to reach the sacred Beas Kund Lake (3,700m), the birthplace of the Beas River.

• Highlight: Stunning, close-up views of Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak, and Shitidhar.
• Activity: Exploring the glacial lake and surroundings before descending back to your camp at Bakarthach.

Trace your steps back down from the high meadows to Dhundi. Your vehicle (Traveler or Private Car) will be waiting to drive you back to the comfort of your hotel in Manali.

• Activity: Final trek descent (~3 hours) and a free evening to explore Manali's local markets like Mall Road.
• Stay: Overnight at a hotel in Manali.

After a final mountain breakfast, begin the return drive through the mountains toward Chandigarh. The trip concludes as you reach the Chandigarh airport or railway station for your onward journey.
